Now back to some regular scrapping

Well, my last post was some sewing fun that I have been up to lately. Today we are getting back to scrapping. I have done a few layouts in the last few weeks just for fun. I had finished up my latest DT work and wanted to do some layouts of the kiddos for thier books.

But before you take a look I need to let you know that MyStamp Box is having a blog hop today. It is a hop to introduce you to the new DT. And I am one of the new members...I am so excited! Go check out all the wonderful introduction the current team is doing today.

The two layouts below are for the boys Scout albums. They are 8 1/2x11 and I am LOVING this size. They went to Battleship Cove in RI last January for an overnight on the battleship. They had a blast...except for the fridged cold. I guess I will never know the feeling they felt because Gail and I were in NYC with my Mom seeing Wicked for the 4th time in three years. And as I write this I have seen it one more time since then and it is coming back to Boston in Sept. OK, so maybe I am a little obsessed with Wicked. If you have not seen it you MUST!

I try to keep the scout layouts simple. We are very involved in scouts and take tons of photos and I always have something to scrap. So, I keep them simple so I can bang them out when I want. I keep myself organized by keeping all scout related scrapping stuff in one bin. I like it this way so I can grab the bin when I head out to scrap with Helen on Wednesdays. It works well for me. I have bins like this for other themes like Christmas, Gail's theater album (also 8 1/2x11), Halloween and School.

I also have a stack of K and Co. Scout embellishments that I keep on hand as well as the Scout paper pad. Oh, and I can't forget my first love...mini alphas on these pages. These are from Jenni Bowlin and MM.

You can see more of my Scout layouts here. Just loving the smaller size...what size to you scrap in? Let me know when you leave a comment. Thanks for stopping by! MF signature

  4. Great work MF!
I would love to scrap this size but it really isn't a popular size here in Oz. So I tend to stay on 12x12 mostly.
    I do have a penchant for 6x12 and 12x6 though! :)
