365 for this week!

4-29-09 Time to pick up the check for our closing on Thursday 4/30/09 Closing today. We got to meet the family that has lived in our new/old house for the last 40 years. What a wonderful time we had with them. They showed us around, told us such great stories about the memories they have in the house. Irene even game me old photos of the house and things that they found in the walls when renovating over the years. Some old newspaper clippings, old gradution programs and even an old box of Jello...lol. 5/1/09 Happy 7th Birthday to my baby today!
5/2/09 The heat has been getting to my sweet Ace. Today he just decided to go in his crate and take a nap.
5/3/09 My new back door. Yes, I have a back door and I am so freekin excited!! The curtains have got to go but just love this door and the fact it leads to my MUD ROOM!!
5/3/09 "Go Long" is what Gregg said to the boys today. And that they did, running all they way to the end of thier new back yard.
5/4/09 Lots of work to be done before we move in, whenever that will be. Who knows? We have started by ripping up the carpeting and will be refinishing all the old hardwood floors...to start!
5/6/09 Pig Tea Party Day! Gail's friend Taylor won the pig tea party with the princle at the school auction and Gail was invited. They had a blast. Mrs. Smith had a hunt and trivia game using all the pigs in her house. The girls found over 200 of them, and that is just want is not packed away in boxes. The ate pizza and pig cupcakes for dessert. And Mrs. Smith let them each take a pig home with them.
All done for this week....enjoy!

  1. YAY MF! Lots of fun stuff here! So happy for you guys and your new house!

Good luck redoing those wood floors! We did all of ours by hand 12 years ago and now I'm ready for carpet as they are so cold in the wintertime! LOL!

  3. Congrats on the new house! Woohoo! Sounds so cool. I can't wait to see more photos. We ripped up the carpet and refinished all our wood floors in our first house by hand. Talking handheld sanders. We didn't have the money to rent a big sander that would have been so much easier. Good memories though! LOL
