A fun little gift tag

I made this fun gift tag, or you could even make a card out of it.  It's as big as a card seeing I used a WW brown paper card circle as the base, inked the edges in blue and then attached a large manilla tag over it. I got these tags from Staples.  I used them a long time ago for a class I taught.  I stamped the edges of the tag with one of the stamps from my myStamp Box Road Trip set.

The flower is really easy to create by cutting a strip of pp and cutting into one long side of it about every 1/4 inch...it is like making fringe.  You then attach the non cut side to a small circle base.  The cut edge just curves around the circle perfectly.  I then took my fingers and crumpled up the flower petals a little.

Here is a close up of the flower.  The middle stamps is also from the Road Trip set.  I love how nice it fits on one of my scallop circles I cut with my nestabilities die.

Thanks for taking a look today.  I have got to run, I need to print out my April photos for my Project 12 pages.  Helen and I are scrapping tomorrow and this is what we will be doing.  YAY us!  Yup, we live the life of luxory for sure.

  4. Hi MF! great flower on this card and on the card on the previous post. Looks like you have been having some fun with the paper! I'm glad you stopped by my blog. I came by to let you know that I don't post scrappay stuff at the mommay blog anymore. I started a new blog at http://happayscrappay.blogspot.com and I hope you will check that one out. I added your blog to my blog reader so I can keep caught up with you!
