A little Winter....A little Spring

I have been feeling the need for sping in MA this week. The weather is just so crudy and the snow just will not go away....UUGH!
I have a few layouts to show that I did for Technique Tuesday. One winter and one spring. I have a need for outdoor layouts, I need to get myself in a spring mood.

It is hard to see in this photo but I used the same title font stamps to create a texture on the background cardstock. I used a very light grey to just give it a hint of movement. I also love this font becuase it is so easy to cut out and color in. You could use colored pencils like I did or try some Copic markers and watercolors.

Here is a close up of part of the title. I attached them the layout with popdots...you can kind of see the stamping on the cardstock here. That is also a TT journaling stamp you see. Everyone has got to have a small journaling block stamp in thier toolkit. It is something you can pull out at any time and use for journaling. One can add a little bit or you can stamp and cut out a number of them and attach them in a line down the side of your layout.

Here is another layout I did using the same font for the title. But, this time I used the inside stamps that gave it a little zigzag. You can also see I used the lowercase letters without the outline.
I framed around the photo with a portion of one stamp.....can't remember which one but I think it was the end of a paisley shaped stamp. I really like how the frame came out. Oh, and I added some Stickles for a little sparkle. The white background paper is white cardstock with a bunch of word stamps stamped all over it....pretty cool huh? Well, that is it for me tonight. We are in the middle of making pinewood derby cars here at my house...things are nuts around here.

  1. LOVE these - especially the way you used the paisley as a frame - very clever. The photos are awesome too... I'm with you on being sick of the crappy weather... snowed again last night!
