Project 12

My girlfriend Helen and I have been working on Project 12 this year. Yesterday when we were at A Time For Memories for our Wednesday Crop Day we finished up February. I have finally taken pictures of January and also February and have them to share today. Please Note: The lighting around here really stinks because of the rain and overcast clouds....I think my 7 year old was calling them cumulas clouds the other day. Not sure if this is correct but who am I to quesiton.

For January I used the new Pink Plum Collection from Crate Paper. I just love the pink/peach color in the background paper. I added in some ruler ribbon to give the feel of numbers and days going by. Dug into my sticker letter stash and pulled out some small letters for the title. And some old....very old Junkitz rubs for the word "Highlights".

For February I used some Carolee's Creations Patterned paper with some DCWV heart paper. I bought the DCWV at Js one day in a paper stack. I have not bought one of those since I think I started scrapping 10 years ago. I loved the way this collection has paper for all the seasons and major holidays. I have to say I have used it alot. Dug into the sticker letter stash again and used some American Crafts shiny foil Thickers for the title. And of course my most favorite possession....mini letters for the date on the bottom left. Also pulled out some old SR stickers I had won in a contest over there some time ago. What a bummer about SR, they were one of my top favorite companies.

I have been loving using my handwriting on my layouts. I can't remember the last time I typed out my journaling. I always use pencil first and then go over it with a thin journaling pen. I really believe that your own handwriting is something so special on a layout. If you have'nt tried it and you don't like your handwriting, you really should give it a go. Have a great day everyone! 1. I love the layouts MF. I should have done this last year instead of the 365. Maybe I would have succeeded. LOL
